'The Horses' - SOLD
It’s one of those songs we thiiink know well, but if you listen to ‘The Horses’ on repeat (like I did painting this), you realise it’s pretty devastating. It’s about a man talking to his daughter, reassuring her about what they’ll do in heaven, so she won’t be scared when he passes away.
Originally written by Rickie Lee Jones and Walter Becker, and made famous by Daryl Braithwaite. This artwork is based on the famous track, and is part of my ‘Riffs’ collection for the Tamworth Country Music Festival show at Weswal Gallery Tamworth.
‘The Horses’, 55x77cm acrylic and oil pastel on unprimed Italian linen.
